Busy-ness

I have been super busy this past week.
First on Friday there was a Masquerade Ball!
However, it was about 3 blocks away and me and my party-going friends had to walk in what was basically a monsoon! Before we left I bundled up in a plastic bag over my head, a shower curtain over my body, and 3 layers of grocery plastic bags around my furry red slippers. Oh yah, I was Elmo by the way.

My roommate Joe, and our friend Katie tagged along as well. He was The Spirit (based on the graphic Novel (soon to be a major motion picture!)), and Katie was the female Joker from the series (whose name escapes me right now) in her insane asylum attire.

It was really crowded in the ballroom, and it didn't help that everyone wanted to tickle me. I was obviously Bilingual Elmo, not Tickle-Me-Elmo. There was also a surplus of a certain costume in that area...you guessed it the Joker. I counted at least 10.

The next day I woke up early (which was like noon) to go to a mask making workshop (extra credit WOOT). I had to rub Vasaline all over my face so that the plaster would not stick to my eyebrows or facial hair.

Then later I entered a costume contest for laughs and giggles just to see if I could win.

Ya, I was robbed by Tetris. I had a speech, and I even had a song prepared in case there was a talent portion to the contest. I just want to let you know that I very well could have won if more of my friends were there (i do have friends here)!

Halloween is still approaching so maybe I'll enter another contest (and hopefully win).
I did however win first place in a recent photoshop contest. The contest was "Director's Mothers Cut" and the goal was to take the scary element out of the poster to make it sutable for kids, just like mom would have done. Voila

my first grade in 2D design

Last week I got my grade back on this project here for 2D design.
It's composed of 3 letters. Can you see them all. Well my professor had trouble seeing one of the letters so he dropped my grade to a B+. However, just yesterday when he was giving back our projects he called me up to claim it, and as he was handing it back to me he stopped himself and said "I'm going to take a second look at it." So I went back to me seat and he handed back the rest of them and looked at it some more then came back to me and bumped it up to an A-. I was so happy!
by the way the letters are "Q,c, and A." Can you see them?

A Month Has Passed...

and I am having a great time!...

A couple of weeks ago the Diabetes walk in Utah took place, and last year I had the opportunity to volunteer for it. This year I wasn't able to be there, however, I helped my best friends Mike and Kaylie to make T-Shirts solely for this event, and I wore mine that day with pride.
And there was plenty of walking that day...I had to walk to the bus stop.
The bus took me to the mall where I got my Halloween costume!
It's a little snug, but then again it was made for a 3-year-old. This is just a preview; come Halloween I've got a perfect pair of redm"gym bottoms" to go with this get up!

TTFN (ta ta for now)
